Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: 27 July 2026

MagniGenie provides WordPress and WooCommerce software, customer accounts, checkout, product support and development services. This policy explains what information we handle when you use this storefront and the connected services on magnigenie.com.

Information we collect

  • Orders, accounts and licenses: name, email, billing details, purchased products, transaction records, account details and license activity needed to complete and support a purchase. Payment credentials are handled by the payment method shown at checkout; this storefront does not collect full card numbers.
  • Support and project inquiries: the name, email, project type and message you submit. These details are saved privately in our WordPress administration area and sent to the team by email so we can reply.
  • Newsletter: the email address you submit, the source of the signup, your consent and confirmation status. We send a confirmation message before activating a subscription. You may withdraw at any time using an unsubscribe link or by emailing [email protected].
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps and security logs produced by our host, WordPress or checkout systems. We also temporarily derive a one-way identifier from your IP address to limit repeated form submissions.
  • Local cart: selected product and license identifiers are stored in your browser so your cart remains available between pages. See our Cookie Policy.

How we use information

We use information to provide products and licenses, process orders and refunds, secure accounts, answer support or sales requests, maintain the storefront, prevent abuse, meet legal and accounting obligations, and send product news when you ask to receive it. Depending on the context, this is necessary to perform a contract, respond to your request, comply with law, protect legitimate business and security interests, or act on your consent.

Who receives information

We share information only as needed with service providers that help us operate the website, hosting, WordPress, Easy Digital Downloads, payments, email delivery, security and professional services. A payment provider receives the information required to authorize your chosen payment method. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users and our services, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We retain order, tax and transaction records for the period required by applicable law. Account, license, support, inquiry and subscription records are kept while needed to deliver the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized when no longer required. We use access controls, private records, encrypted transport and other reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete information we hold about you, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw newsletter consent, or request a portable copy where applicable. Some records may need to be retained for legal, fraud-prevention or contractual reasons. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may verify your identity before completing it.

International use, children and changes

Our visitors and service providers may be in different countries, so information can be processed outside your location with protections required by applicable law. Our commercial software and services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children. We will update this page when our practices materially change and revise the date above.
